This PSU should be used -

when installing hard drives that require more than 400/500mA
when connecting the USB 2.0/FireWire Drive Housing (Part No. 42911) to a 4 Pin FireWire port. This is because, unlike 6 Pin FireWire ports, the 4 Pin port does not provide the connections for bus-powered devices

Output: Regulated, 5V DC - 2.6A
Connector: Round, 1mm inner diameter, 3mm outer diameter, positive (+) on centre contact
